9 Classic And Quirky Gifts To Get Your Boyfriend This Christmas

Updated: Jan 12, 2021

Struggling with what to get your man for Christmas? I got you. As someone who has to contend with not just a Christmas present to buy their boyfriend in the next month, but also a birthday present, I've spent a fair amount of time researching possible gift ideas. Sure, men might not be as particular as us women when it comes to gifts but that doesn't mean you shouldn't spoil them anyway. Below is a short yet suitable list of possible presents to spend your hard-earned pennies on, because let's be honest, he's worth it. But don't even think about buying him a PS5!

1. Joggers

Perhaps not the most exciting gift to kick the list off but nevertheless one he'll no doubt appreciate. After all, what's not to love about joggers? They're comfy, cosy and a work from home staple. These fleece lined ones from Uniqlo are guaranteed to keep him warm and the best part is, they're under £30! Alternatively these joggers from Burton are currently £15, an absolute steal if you ask me.

2. 100 Movies Bucket List

He may claim that he's seen every movie that's ever been released but is he really as big of a film buff as he claims to be? With 100 fantastic films to scratch away upon watching, choosing a film to watch has literally never been easier! No more scrolling endlessly through Netflix, simply consult the list and voila! Everything from Good Will Hunting to Dr Stranglove is on it plus many more films he may have never heard of. Not to mention, it will look very aesthetically pleasing hanging up on his wall.

3. Beer Subscription / Box of Craft Beer

I am genuinely yet to meet a guy who doesn't enjoy a cold one and if this is the case for your boyfriend, may I recommend this Beer Subscription box from Beer52. Every month brings a different theme, and with it an eclectic variety of high-quality beers. You can choose whether to receive 8, 10 or 12 beers with each box and can even throw in some stouts and porters if you want to mix things up. You also receive a magazine and a quirky snack with each order so you're really getting your money's worth. Prices start at £24 a month so perhaps a little on the pricey side for some people. If so, then a one-off case of craft beer is sure to do the trick! Any of the boxes from Beer Hawk are gift-worthy with most coming with a beer glass and some other added extra. Prices start from as little as £9.

4. Shaving Gift Set

I don't know about you, but I'm not the biggest fan of a fluffy face. This shaving set from Rituals complete with a shaving cream, charcoal scrub and after shave soothing balm is sure to help him achieve the perfect shave. It's suitable for all skin types and as a travel set, it is ideal for on the go. Wave goodbye to annoying stubble with this affordably priced and very masculine smelling set.

5. Massage Gun

£47.59 / £93.99 (33% off)

If your boyfriend is a fan of the old home workout or tends to overestimate himself on his afternoon runs then this might be the solution he didn't know he needed. They're perfect at soothing achy muscles post-workout and more importantly the next day. With a variety of detachable heads, tempos and power settings, you can really cater the gun towards any type of muscle. Yes ladies, that does mean he can give you a back massage with minimal effort from his end. Sure, it's quite pricey but it's definitely a gift he will find himself using day in and day out.

6. Wallet

This smart, stylish and practical wallet with signal blocking technology is a real winner. Featuring an elegant black leather exterior and an orange interior with space for up to 12 cards plus cash, it really is the wallet of dreams. For just a fraction of the price of its counterparts, this gift really is a no-brainer. Gone are the days of holding his debit card, oyster card and driving licence in the back of his phone! A very reliable and won't break the bank gift this one.

7. Socks, underwear, slippers

The holy trifecta of "I can't think of anything I need for Christmas, babe" gifts. Men will always need these in their wardrobe whether they think they do or not. It's time to throw out the old Calvin Klein undies with the holes in them and bring in the new! Jack & Jones are a one-stop-shop, covering all three of these at very competitive prices. There is currently a minimum of 20% of all items on their website so go, go, go!

8. 5 Senses Gift

For those of you that read my previous blog, you'll already know what this entitles; 5 gifts for each of the 5 senses. You could buy him his favourite aftershave, make him a personalised playlist or just keep it simple with some fluffy socks. This is a really great one if you have no idea what to get him because it really narrows down your possible options and there are a tonne of ideas on Pinterest if you're feeling uninspired.

9. Cologne

Finishing off with one of my personal favourites (because who doesn't like a nice smelling man?!). This one fully depends on your budget but I recommend Dior's Sauvage Eau de Parfum. It's a truly masculine, woody, and spicy scent that has been raved about for years and for good reason! It's longevity means it will stay on clothes for days after he's sprayed it, which means no need for constant top ups throughout the day! It's not just a present for him but also for you if you think about it. Mhmhmmm.

So there's my short but ever so sweet list of possible gift ideas for you boyfriend this Christmas whether he's a beer, movie or gym buff. Get them now while the Black Friday sales are still in your bank account's favour! Happy shopping!
